Re-entry is not
one-size-fits-all

Building pathways from justice involvement
to lasting stability, purpose, and possibility.

We believe successful re-entry takes more than a single program, a checklist, or one prescribed path. Every individual comes with different experiences, challenges, strengths, and goals. And meaningful transformation requires a response that meets people where they are.

We partner with courts, corrections, community organizations, employers, families, and other stakeholders to create flexible, individualized pathways toward successful reintegration.

Because lasting change doesn't happen in isolation.

It takes a village.

Restoring Hope.
Creating
Opportunity. Building Sustainable Change.

Our mission is to restore hope for juveniles and adults impacted by the justice system by connecting them with the tools, relationships, and opportunities they need to build a different future.

Through re-entry support, life-skills development, vocational training, employment pathways, family engagement, conflict communication, and community collaboration, we work to address the barriers that can make successful reintegration difficult.

Our goal isn't simply to help someone get through re-entry. It's to help them build a life worth staying connected to.

We believe that when people have purpose, meaningful opportunity, positive relationships, and the right support system around them, transformation becomes possible.

One Pathway Doesn't Work for Everybody

Successful re-entry is complex. Housing, employment, family relationships, education, transportation, communication skills, substance use, social connections, and personal accountability can all play a role in whether someone successfully transitions back into the community.

That's why Orion Watch takes a whole-person, collaborative approach.

Rather than asking, "What program should this person fit into?" we ask: "What does this person need to move forward? And who needs to be around the table to help make it possible?"

Our approach is designed to be adaptable to the individual and responsive to the realities of their circumstances.

Courts Can't Do It Alone. Communities Can't Do It Alone.

Sustainable re-entry requires coordination across systems.

Orion Watch works to bring together the people and organizations that can contribute to a person's success – including justice-system professionals, community leaders, employers, educators, families, service providers, and other community partners.

By strengthening those connections, we create a more coordinated continuum of support before, during, and after re-entry.

The goal is simple: fewer gaps, stronger connections, and better opportunities for successful outcomes.

From Re-entry to
Real-World Opportunity

We focus on practical tools and meaningful opportunities that can help individuals move forward, including:

Vocational & Employment Pathways
Connecting justice-impacted individuals with training, credentials, career pathways, and employment opportunities that can provide purpose and financial stability.

Life Skills & Critical Thinking
Building practical skills that support better decision-making, accountability, independence, and long-term success.

Family & Community Connection
Strengthening positive relationships and support systems that can provide stability during the transition back into the community.

Conflict Communication & De-escalation
Equipping individuals with communication and conflict-management skills that can support healthier interactions and more successful reintegration.

Individualized Re-entry Support
Recognizing that every person has a different starting point, and creating support that can adapt accordingly.

Why Orion Watch?

Our team brings together lived experience, professional expertise, community partnerships, and a shared commitment to creating better outcomes for justice-impacted individuals.

We understand that meaningful change requires both accountability and opportunity – and that sustainable solutions come from collaboration rather than working in silos.

Our work is grounded in a simple belief:

When we give people the right support at the right time, positive change becomes possible.

Hope. Transformation. Opportunity. Community.

That's the work of Orion Watch.

Let's Build Better Re-entry Pathways, Together

The justice system is one part of the re-entry equation. Families are another. Communities, employers, service providers, and individuals themselves all have a role to play.

Orion Watch is committed to bringing those pieces together.

Because there isn't one pathway to success. There is a community of people willing to help craft a tailored plan for each individual.

If it wasn’t for those who understood the difficulty of finding work after getting out of prison, I don’t know where I’d be. I’m truly grateful for everything the Orion Watch is doing. They advocate for hiring practices that put formerly incarcerated individuals into meaningful jobs.

— Michael Edwards, Incarcerated for 7 years

When I was in prison, I attended building maintenance and welding classes. I soon discovered that most classes were brief and just covered the basics. After being released, I didn’t have the skills I needed to transition to a career with decent pay, like a trade. This is why I support everything Orion Watch is doing. Like others, I believe there is a small window of opportunity for most inmates after they are released to get them on the right track, and I know Orion Watch can make a difference.

— Christopher Blagg, Incarcerated for 14 years

Transitioning from life in prison is difficult, and succeeding when you also have health issues feels impossible. Thankfully, I’ve done it, and I’m succeeding. I legitimately believed prison saved my life. Orion Watch truly understands the short window of time when success and failure are determined. They have the credibility and potential to reach a lot of men and women who have fallen.

— Job Edwards, Sentenced to 18 years

I still struggle when interacting with society and in daily life. There are so many incarcerated people I’ve met who want to do better, yet without direction, they won’t because they don’t have the resources to succeed.

This is the value of Orion Watch. They are not only committed to providing trade schooling for incarcerated individuals, but also the follow-up assistance outside of the prison environment. These are services that will determine whether someone succeeds or heads back through the revolving door of the justice system.

— John Grantham, Incarcerated for 10+ years

I think most incarcerated individuals want to succeed but have no real idea how. Orion Watch is focused on giving the tools necessary for people being released from prison to create their own success.

— Solomon Tucker, Incarcerated for 11 years

When I was released in 2017, after finding some trouble, I reached out to my family, who put me on a path towards success. I’m fortunate to have that kind of support, but know there are many hardworking people with potential who will fall between the cracks and end up back inside because they couldn’t meet their essential needs like housing, food, and transportation. I fully support Orion Watch and their drive to give people a clear path to success.

— Cale Harpel, Formerly Incarcerated
